For
the Filling and Topping:

cups whipped cream

cup tinned or fresh cherries

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and
dust two 7-inch cake tins.

In a bowl, mix milk and vinegar and set aside
for a few minutes to curdle.

In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder,
baking powder, and baking soda together.
·
Add sugar, oil, vanilla essence, and the
curdled milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.

Pour the batter evenly into the tins and bake
for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Once baked, cool the cakes completely and
slice each into two layers if thicker.
·
Brush each layer with cherry syrup to keep it
moist.

Spread whipped cream evenly over the first
layer, add some chopped cherries, and place another cake layer on top. Repeat
until all layers are stacked.

Cover the entire cake with whipped cream,
decorate with cherries, and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.
