How to make butterscotch cake at home with simple steps?

Ingredients for cake

ü  325g all purpose flour

ü  100g butterscotch instant pudding

Ingredients for butterscotch frosting

ü  280g unsalted butter

ü  350g butterscotch chips melted

ü  750g powdered sugar

ü  Pinch of salt

ü  120ml milk or cream

 

Additional ingredients

 ü  400g butterscotch chips for decorating

 

Instructions for cake

ü  You should prepare three 8 inch cake pans with parchment paper circles in the bottom and grease the sides. You should preheat oven to 170 degree centigrade.

ü  You should add the remaining powdered sugar and mix until smooth.

Assembling of the cake

ü  You should use a large serrated knife to remove the domes from the top of the cakes so that they are flat, if needed.

ü  Place the first cake on a serving plate and spread about one cup of frosting into an even layer on top of the cake.

ü  You should add the second layer of cake on top of the frosting.

ü  You should add another cup of frosting on top of the cake and spread into an even layer.

ü  You should top the cake with the remaining layer and frost the outside of the cake.

ü  You should press butterscotch chips into the sides of the cake immediately after frosting it.

ü  You should use the remaining frosting to pipe shells around the border of the cake.

ü  Serve the cake with butterscotch chips. Enjoy!
