Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line an
8 inch round cake tin.

Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking
soda into a bowl.

In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, oil, milk
and vanilla essence till smooth.

Combine the dry and wet ingredients gently.

Add hot water or coffee and mix to form a
smooth batter.

minutes.
